For those spending Easter weekend in Orange Beach, there is no shortage of family activities.
For children, Easter egg hunts are planned in and around the city. Here are some of the options:
- On Saturday, March 31, at 1 p.m. the Beach Point Community Association will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at the Bear Point Community Center at 5681 Bay La Launch Ave. The Easter Bunny will be visiting as well. The egg hunt will be for children 0-10 years of age. Prizes will be given for each group (0-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10). Those who will be participating in the egg hunt are asked to arrive around 12:30 p.m. and the egg hunt will begin at 1 p.m. Punch and cookies will be available for the children.
- At 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, an Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by Christian Life Church, will be held at The Wharf. In grand style, the Marina Lawn will be speckled with nearly 5,000 colorful eggs for youngsters to claim. Separate areas will be designated based on age groups. A wide variety of kids’ activities will be offered on-site, including face painting for a fee, a bouncy house, giant coloring sheets, cookies and more! The Southern Grind will be baking over 300 sugar cookies to give away during the hunt. Cuddle up with real live rabbits and snap a photo with the Easter Bunny, all in one. - From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, the Flora-Bama will host its Easter Egg Hunt & Kids Fun Day. Kids’ crafts and face painting will begin at 1 p.m The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 2 p.m. on the beach behind the Flora-Bama and the Easter Bunny will skydive onto the beach shortly after! Kids will have a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. Participants must bring their own baskets and cameras for this event. More information can be found at www.florabama.com.
- On Sunday, April 1, LuLu’s Gulf Shores will hold its Easter Egg Dash. The Dash will start promptly at 2 p.m. Children will be divided into age groups for safe dashing for all. The Easter Bunny will also be on hand from 12:30 p.m.-3 p.m. for photo opportunities! Find details at lulubuffett.com.
