It’s the most wonderful time of the year at The Wharf in Orange Beach! The entertainment district is once again gearing up for it’s annual Christmas time activities that are a hit each year. The activities cater to all ages and welcome families to visit The Wharf for a little Christmas cheer! 

The big man, Santa, himself will be taking photos with participants on Fridays though Sundays through Dec. 23 at Santa’s Village at The Wharf. Let the Wharf capture a frame-able Christmas photo to decorate your home for the holidays or one to send your family! Santa will be taking photos form 3-7 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturdays and 12-6 p.m. on Sundays. 

If you’re looking for another activity to entertain the whole family, try your hand (or foot) at ice skating! The front parking lot next to Sand Dollar and the fire station at The Wharf will be iced over and ready for skating! Admission to skate is $10 (including skate rental) and $13 for skating and ferris wheel combo and $80 frequent skater pass (10 skates)$3 for a pair of socks. The ice skating rink will be up and running through Jan. 13, 2019. 

Nov. 16 – Jan. 13, Regular hours: Monday-Sunday 10 a.m. – 10 p.m; November 26 – December 18: Mon-Fri: 4 – 10 p.m., Sat-Sun: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.; January 1 – 13: Mon-Fri: 4 – 10 p.m., Sat-Sun: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Ice Skating Rink will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.; Christmas Eve we will close at 4 p.m.; New Year’s Eve: 10 a.m. – midnight

Another family event (or an idea for date night) is to venture off on a horse and carriage ride through the Wharf. Trot along through streets and gaze at the lights and decorations with your loved ones. You’ll want to have your camera ready for this ride! Cost is $30 per carriage ride, up to four people; $5 for a single rider. Open November 18, 25 and 30. December 2, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 from 5-8 p.m.
