Few things in the world are better than pups and pizza, and thanks to Lillian’s Pizza in Perdido Key and The Mylo Foundation, you can have both at the same time!  The Pups & Pizza Adoption Event and Fundraiser will fill your stomach with the best pizza on the island and fill your heart with the love from a new best furry friend.

Set to take place Saturday, December 8th from 2 pm to 7 pm, the event will feature lots of adoptable animals looking for their forever home, just in time for Christmas.  Come out and meet the beautiful animals while you listen to live music by Shane Smith and The St. Sitra Chamber, munch on delicious food from Lillian’s Pizza, and participate in the silent auction and raffle for amazing art, gift baskets, and prizes.

The event will also be taking donations for Toys for Tots, and anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy will get a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a fabulous prize!

Co-owner of Lillian’s Pizza and avid animal advocate, Shannon Walsh and Mylo Foundation Founder and Director, Patricia Kruger, will both be on hand during the event to assist in adoptions.

Kruger started her foundation in honor of her beloved rescue Mylo, who she saved from euthanasia at the tender age of 12 while volunteering in a kill shelter.  She and Mylo spent the next 16 years together as best friends, and upon his passing of old age, Kruger knew that her calling was to give many more beautiful souls the chance she gave Mylo at life.

The Mylo Foundation’s mission is to help promote and facilitate rescue, foster, and adoption for pets who otherwise would be set up for certain death in kill shelters.

Kruger said that even if adoption isn’t right for you or your family right now to consider becoming a foster family.  Fostering is completely free through The Mylo Foundation.  The rescue provides all vetting and networking for the dog.  The only cost to you is food.  The rescue can also help with food expenses if needed.   Fostering can be short-term or long-term depending on what the dog needs.

Helping one of these loving pets offers so many rewards to you and your family.  Please open your heart and find a place in your home for one of the dogs who are urgent at the shelter.
