Since 1947, Kilwins has been creating products with the finest ingredients combined with the highest quality customer service in the business. Now, you can get the sweetest treats in Orange Beach as Kilwins has come to The Wharf, located at 4751 Main Street, Unit F113.
Having just celebrated opening their doors in early December, owners Danielle and Trey Lemon said Kilwins is just the addition the area needed. “There are many places to get sweets here in Orange Beach, but we pride ourselves on the fact that our products are made right here in the store with the best quality ingredients. Our selection and service is second to none,” said Lemon.
The Lemons, who moved to Orange Beach from Wilmington, NC this summer to open Kilwins and be closer to family in the Panhandle, said that their franchise at the Wharf is the first Kilwins in the state of Alabama. They, along with their three children, have been welcomed with open arms into the community. “Getting to know the locals and tourists alike has been an amazing experience. People have been so kind, and I hope they are as excited as we are to share Kilwins with the Gulf Coast,” she said.
From the second you walk through the door, the delightful aromas of handcrafted chocolates, caramel, fudge, and other delicious confections will have your mouth watering. Whether it’s the creamy Mackinac Island Fudge, “The Perfect” Caramel Apple, hand-crafted Corns & Brittles, chocolate dipped Pretzels or Krispie treats, Kilwins provides an authentic sensory and taste experience like none other.
Lemon said of the treats made in her store, “You’ll be able to see us cooking caramel in our kettle and can watch us hand dip our apples! If you’re around when any of our cooking happens, we’ll be sure to offer you a sample fresh off the table so you can get a taste of our quality products.”
Kilwins has always operated under one concept; treat others as you want to be treated, do your best, and have fun! It is those values combined with the Kilwin staff’s service with a smile and beyond attitude that make them a cut above the rest.
And Kilwins is living up to its reputation. According to Anne Riccord of Ocean Springs, MS, “We spent the whole day finding fun things to do in Orange Beach. The bright spot of our day was finding Kilwins sweet shop. The staff offered us fudge samples while we shopped, and everyone found something special and delicious to take home. If you have a sweet tooth, Kilwins is a must!”
Jerry Johnson of Orange Beach agreed, saying, “Kilwins has the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted. I love that it’s in my neighborhood, and with 28 flavors to choose from, I can always find what I’m in the mood for! It’s my favorite shop at The Wharf.”
Stop by Kilwins at The Wharf in Orange Beach and let the friendly service and delicious and decadent treats take you back to the wonders of a kid in a candy store.
Lemon added, “We promise you’ll have a great experience. Trey and I will personally make sure each of our customers is treated the Kilwins way, like family.”
