When living with a chronic illness, many treatment options can leave you feeling harsh side effects that make you wish there was something more natural that can bring you relief. Thanks to Your CBD Store, now there is. With two locations in Pensacola, a location in Magnolia Springs, and a location in Gulf Breeze coming in mid-March, CBD treatment is now available in a convenient, warm, and trustworthy environment.
So what is CBD? Cannabidiol, or CBD, is the non-intoxicating marijuana extract being credited with a wide variety of healing properties for ailments like epilepsy, anxiety, inflammation, insomnia, and much more. It is derived from the flowers and buds of hemp pants, and does not produce the “high” that is caused by the chemical THC found in marijuana. Instead, CBD offers the patient relief from pain, tension, and inflammation all while you can continue your everyday activities without interruption.
Owners Brett Vincent and Jeanelle Velasquez say the therapeutic benefits of CBD have been scientifically tested and confirmed by scientists and doctors around the world, and while the use of CBD is still controversial in some circles, they say that the substance is non-addictive and safe in treating various ailments.
“We’ve had patients that have been treated with traditional prescription medication for years that try our products and have better results in just a few short weeks. And our products are all organic and safe to use without any of the side effects prescription drugs can cause,” Vincent said.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration advisory panel unanimously recommended the approval of the CBD medication Epidiolex, used to treat two rare forms of childhood epilepsy. The approval of the U.S. government is a big win for the CBD industry and its patients, and Vincent said he hopes this will enlighten people on the benefits of alternative natural medicine.
“While there are many places that now sell CBD, we want people to know that our shops and products are different. We know exactly where our product is being sourced, and exactly what ingredients go into every item. We want our customers to be confident in that as well, which is why we have third party lab testing done on all of our products to ensure them they are putting something safe and high quality into their body,” Vincent said.
Grown and harvested in Colorado, this high quality, organically grown material is certified by the state’s Department of Agriculture. The phytocannabinoid rich (PCR) hemp has a naturally high CBD level, and an abundance of other beneficial cannabinoids (CBG, CBN, CBC), as well as flavonoids, terpenes, and essential amino acids. We use a CO2 extraction process, which eliminates the need for chemical solvents and produces a high-quality, full-spectrum CBD.
Your CBD Store sells oils, water solubles, topical creams, honey, teas, candy, and much more. There is even a line for pets that suffer from ailments like arthritis, anxiety, and skin and digestive issues. In addition to a wide variety of ways to use CBD, Vincent said his stores have a doctor and chemist on staff, available not only for evaluations but to answer any questions patients may have and to monitor their progress throughout treatment.
Many people may be asking, “But is it legal?” The answer is, absolutely. Thanks to the $867 billion dollar Farm Bill recently signed into law, CBD and Hemp are now federally legalized in all 50 states.
Vincent added that he hopes that along with the Farm Bill’s legalization of Hemp in all 50 states, the stigma of hemp related products and CBD will subside. “We want people to know that our stores are NOT the same thing as walking into a smoke or vape shop. You won’t find glass cases in our stores. You won’t find a sketchy atmosphere. What you will find are warm friendly people who welcome you to a calm, clean, and informed environment so that you feel comfortable discussing your medical history with trained professionals that can help get you on the path to recovery. And on top of all that, we know our patients by name. I think that’s important.”
Vincent went on to say that he’s seen first-hand what CBD can do for people with chronic pain and inflammation, epilepsy, and more. “I’ve watched my customers come to life in just a short amount of time. This product has changed their lives. I truly believe it can work for many others too.”
