The Orange Beach Sports Association will be hosting a benefit for Kendall Annan in conjunction with the City of Orange Beach’s baseball and softball Opening Day activities on Saturday, March 17 at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.

Kendall is currently at UAB undergoing chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Kendall has donated his time and expertise to the area youth for the last several years as a rec basketball coach and referee. He has supported Orange Beach’s kids in athletics, and now it is the community’s turn to show support for him.

The benefit will be held following the 8 a.m. Opening Day Ceremony on Saturday. Jambalaya, rolls, and brownies will be served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. near the new sand volleyball courts. There will also be some inflatables for the kids to enjoy.

Orange Beach Sports Association hopes to see everyone on Saturday. Opening Day will also be an opportunity to see all of the recent upgrades on fields one through five that now have new pro-style brick backstops with netting, new dugouts, and new bleacher shades. Renovations on the other five fields are expected to begin later this year.
